Forced landing

Airspeed, 125 knots prior to extending landing gear Emergency Landing gear handle, pull as required Airspeed 120 knots until intercepting final, 110 knots minimum on final Flaps, as required

Eject

Ejection handle, pull both

OBOGS failure, overtemp, physiological symptoms

Green ring, pull as required both Descent below 10000 feet MSL, initiate OBOGS supply lever, off both

Uncommanded power change, loss of power, unprompted prop feather

PCL, mid range PMU, off Prop sys circuit breaker (left front panel)- pull if No stable below 40% PCL, as required If power sufficient, PEL execute If power insufficient, Prop sys circuit breaker left front panel, reset as required, PCL OFF firewall shutoff handle, pull Execute forced landing or eject.

Engine failure during flight

Zoom/Glide, 125 knots minimum PCL, off Intercept ELP Air start, attempt of warranted If not warranted, Firewall shutoff handle, pull Execute forced landing or eject

ABORT

PCL, IDLE BRAKES, AS REQUIRED

High fuel flow

PEL, execute

Low fuel pressure

PEL execute Boost pump, on

Oil system malfunction, low oil pressure

If only amber oil pressure caution illuminates, Terminate maneuver Check oil pressure, if oil pressure normal, continue operations If red oil warning illuminates and or amber oil pressure caution remains illuminated for 5 seconds, PCL, minimum necessary to intercept ELP, avoid unnecessary PCL movements. PEL execute

Precautionary Emergency Landing

Turn to nearest suitable field Climb or accelerate to intercept ELP Gear, flaps, speed brake, up

Inadvertent departure from controlled flight

PCL, idle, Controls, neutral Altitude, check Recover from unusual attitude

Chip detector warning

PCL, minimum necessary to intercept ELP, avoid unnecessary PCL movements PEL, execute

Emergency Ground Egress

ISS MODE SELECTOR, SOLO SEAT SAFETY PIN, INSTALL, BOTH PARKING BRAKE, AS REQUIRED CANOPY, OPEN IF CANOPY CANNOT BE OPENED, OR SITUATION REQUIRES RIGHT SIDE EGRESS CFS HANDLE SAFETY PIN, REMOVE, BOTH CFS HANDLE, ROTATE 90 DEGREES COUNTERCLOCKWISE AND PULL, BOTH UPPER FITTINGS, LOWER FITTINGS, AND LEG RESTRAINT GARTERS, RELEASE, BOTH BATTERY, GENERATOR, AND AUX BATTERY SWITCHES, OFF EVACUATE AIRCRAFT.

Abort start procedure

PCL off, or STARTER switch, auto/reset

Compressor Stalls

PCL, slowly retard below stall threshold, DEFOG, on PCL, slowly advance, as required If power sufficient PEL, execute If power insufficient PCL, off Firewall shutoff handle, pull Execute forced landing or eject

Fire in flight

If fire confirmed, PCL, off Firewall shutoff handle, pull If fire extinguished, Forced landing execute If fire is not extinguished, Eject (both) If fire is not confirmed, PEL execute

Smoke/fume elimination, electrical fire

OBOGS, check both OBOGS supply lever, on OBOGS concentration lever, max OBOGS pressure lever, emergency.

Immediate air start (pmu norm)

PCL, off Starter switch, auto reset PCL, idle, above 13% N1 Engine instruments, monitor N1, ITT, oil pressure. If air start is unsuccessful, PCL off Firewall shutoff handle, pull Execute forced landing or eject If air start is successful, PCL- as required after N1 reaches idle rpm approximately 67% N1

Emergency Engine Shutdown on the Ground

PCL, OFF FIREWALL SHUTOFF HANDLE, PULL EMERGENCY GROUND EGRESS, AS REQUIRED

Engine failure immediately after takeoff

Airspeed, 110 knots minimum PCL, as required Emergency Landing Gear Handle, pull as required Flaps, as required
